I've worked in a variety of pet salons and have seen it all! I've learned personally that creating a one-on-one atmosphere for your beloved pets is the best way for me to groom and provide a fear-free experience with quality work and care.

 

After high school, I landed with what I thought was my dream job—working at a pet hotel, spending my days with dogs while figuring out my future through community college. I explored various art majors, but over time, I found myself consistently drawn back to working with animals.

In 2020, during the pandemic, a chance opportunity to work at a pet salon reignited my passion for working with dogs, this time through grooming. I left the CSU I was accepted to, and began to pursue grooming full-time, but the path wasn’t easy—full of ups, downs, and plenty of lessons. I bounced between salons, struggling to find the right environment to learn and grow. There were setbacks, including a serious dog bite, self-doubt, and financial instability, but I kept pushing forward.

Eventually, I became a certified dog groomer and began building confidence in my craft. I worked in both private and corporate salons, learning the value of quality over quantity and discovering how important a positive, supportive environment is—not just for groomers, but for the dogs, too.

Today, after years of persistence and growth, I’ve found true purpose that allows me to do what I love: groom dogs in a space that feels like home, because it is.

PogoPaws is a one-woman show, I work alone which allows me to create better bonds with your pets while giving them top-quality care. I'm currently operating my small home-based business here in the Del Rosa area of San Bernardino!
